Charlotte Beeston

Brand identity for new Furniture Designer Maker, Charlotte Beeston.

The form of the logo was created from a joint used a lot throughout Charlottes work, the dovetail. The CB logo creates a modern stamp that can be used to brand the furniture that she creates. The aim of the identity is to be modern and functional working alongside her work without over shadowing it.

Website, booklet and stationery were designed.

Weave

Weave was created to make people aware of the finer details with the clothes they purchase, from the fibers it is grown from to the finished packaged product.

The name Weave was chosen as it focuses on the detail, which combines the vision. The identity needed to look and feel organic which was helped by a custom made typeface and logotype that flows.

On my degree show night 100 T-Shirts and booklets were given away to promote Weaves values. 8 creatives were invited to produce a design for the T-Shirts.

For Reference Only

This 76 page publication was part of a collaboration designed for the end of year degree show at Bath Spa University.

It’s main purpose was to catalogue all students on the Graphic Communication course and document our year as a collective.

The concept behind the piece was architecture, as at the time the University was under construction. Small details within the publication including typography and colour reference this.

Gulliver’s Travels

The fictional story of Gulliver’s Travels typographically explored using the font family Univers LT.

In the story Gulliver visits 12 different island’s. Each island is given a weight of Univers in which order it appears in the book. This gives a different form of organisation within the story than conventional books.

The cover of the book is a lightweight greyboard, screenprinted with an embossed finish and swiss bound.

Typographic Discourse

This was the title of my dissertation which was influenced by the history of modernist typography.

The content in the book is shown visually in the design. From the typeface, colour, layout and even the shape.
